Many individuals associate the art of Hip-Hop music with drug abuse, explicit sex, senseless violence, gang activity, misogyny, crime, and luxurious lifestyles. Hip-Hop was constructed as a form of artistic expression among many underprivileged African American communities during the late 1970s. Due to the many systemic racial barriers that limited many individuals of color from possessing resources, these individuals created a platform that allowed them to express their frustrations. The popularity of hip-hop music rapidly expanded, but as time progressed, the intent and purpose of the music would become distorted and altered. Hip-Hop music served as a reflection of the realities that existed in many impoverished communities. Drugs, lack of resources, extremely high crime rates, and poverty were extensively present within such communities, providing individuals within these communities to express these issues to individuals outside of their communities. Hip-Hop music has seemingly b ecame a mechanism that provided impoverished communities a voice that would be heard by the masses of society. High rates of poverty, lack of educational resources, and unavailability of jobs have seemingly forced many women of color into criminal activities in the attempt to gain some sort of economic stability. Keeping into consideration the needs of a child, the policies that the organization aims to follow, are as follows: Policy Manual 1: A child may get ill and as such he shall not be returned to his home. The organization will hire two Child Care nurse Consultant, who will be responsible for treating and curing the child, by providing him with necessary medicines. The consultant will also be responsible for training the staff members of the center, how to apply First Aid in case of emergencies. It is intended that each staff working under this organization is well-trained in applying medicines or curing slight injuries (David Weinstein, 2014). There will be a First Aid staff who will be responsible for ensuring that the First Aid kit is fully stocked. The important contents of the First Aid Kit are as follows: Disposable gloves A pair of scissors Bandage tape and gauze pads Tweezers and scissors Safety pins List of emergency phone numbers and the necessary contact numbers of the parents of each of the children The staffs need to be well-trained, and hence sufficient training will be provided to each of the staffs on a variety of topics, such as Child abuse and neglect, Caregiver health, Communicable health and Injury prevention. Policy Manual 2: If a child is suffering from a viral disease, other children may also get affected by it (Beker, 2014). Hence, it is mandatory to ensure that each child enrolled in the child care program, has received immunization. The parents are to submit written documentation supporting the current immunization status of the child. Each child should be provided with immunization at the right time, and hence the child care center regularly reviews the immunization needs of each child. The parents are also being reminded once the immunization time of their respective child is approaching. However, on failing to provide the child with immunization within 15 days, the parents will be asked to withdraw the name of their respective child. If a child is suffering from any serious illness, or any sort of communicable disease, he will not be allowed to enter the center. In case the child is suffering from diseases such as high fever, Diarrhea, undiagnosed rash or infectious sires will be asked to stay back at home. Further, in case of lice and nit or scabies, a child will be advised not to come to the center, unless proper medical treatment is done (Nzi et al., 2016). Roles and Responsibilities of the staff Members: The staff members are expected to be sufficiently trained, so that they have proper knowledge about the injury prevention measures as well as the First Aid services. The staffs are expected to be patient and composed with each child, and are needed to not only take care of them, but also to help them develop learning skills. They must be efficient enough and must know how to handle children. The staff members will be responsible for helping the children learn the alphabets and numbers, with the help of fun and interesting games and activities. Ever since I was little, I had always dreamt of going to Europe and exploring the culture, meeting new people, and having fun with friends, but I never imagined that I would really get to do that along with doing something that I love, making music. When I started playing flute in fourth grade, I didn’t think I was good enough so I quit until the next year and I started playing the alto saxophone. Starting in sixth grade was my first ever honors band; the John Phillip Sousa Foundation held an audition every other year in a three-day planned event, and I was excited to go down to Lowell, Massachusetts for the very first time. Since I loved the honors band so much I went back again in eighth grade, but with a new instrument, the baritone saxophone. This instrument was remarkable, it made me feel powerful and like no other feeling I had felt ever before. I was even more excited to go down this time, we toured seven different countries, Switzerland, France, Austria, Germany, we had different groups stay with families in Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands. Our first stop was in Belgium where each of us were paired into a home with a family that we would stay with for a few days. After Belgium, we took a double-decker bus to Bonn, Germany and toured the famous Beethoven’s house and where he was born. Following the tour of Beethoven’s house, we set off for Mozart’s house in Salzburg, Austria. We then made our way to Switzerland, it was definitely my favorite branch of the trip, with the beautiful blue colored water and the great tasting glacier water that was nice and cold. Then through the country to Italy, visi ting only a couple cities and then to France. First we went to Chamonix, France, when we were finished in Chamonix, our last stop was in Paris. The next day after we arrived, we went to the Eiffel Tower and climbed the stairs. There were six-hundred-seventy steps that we climbed, and definitely the most steps I had climbed in one whole stair case. This was special for us, we did get to the top of the tower and we watched the sunset. It was a gorgeous view from the top, seeing all of Paris, then once the sun went down, the lights started to sparkle and move across the bottom to the top of the tower. It was an incredible scene to behold. This trip helped me recognize that I love to travel and experience new cultures, eat new foods and meet new people. I have learned from this trip and the experiences that have changed me, I became quieter, and although I became quieter, I am a way better listener and learner because of it. I love music, I listen to it and play it all the time and I do not think that I could live without it. There will always be a way that I will make music be apart of my life. Music to me is one of my biggest passions, battling for first place along with animals, nothing with stop me from looking or finding opportunities to play when I get older.
